Zinc Anodes

TMP conforms to the U.S. Military Specification, MIL-A-18001K, and GL-Zn1 to produce zinc anode.  Special high grade zinc ingots with 99.995% min. and high purity base metals are used to ensure that zinc anode meets the specification of U.S. Military and Germanischer Lloyd (GL).  Our company has been granted approval from GL for the manufacture of zinc anode.

 Zinc anode is primarily intended for corrosion prevention in seawater of steel and aluminium equipment and structures such as ship hull, sea chest, mooring chains and seawater side of condensers and heat exchanger.  Zinc anode provides the lowest driving voltage in comparison with aluminium anode and magnesium anode.  Therefore, it does not easily cause overprotection which leads to coating disbondment and hydrogen damage of high strength steel.  We also manufactures zinc anode with other compositions and sizes on request.
